Haunted Duke’s Daughter C75
Haunted Duke’s Daughter C75
The last one to answer was Sera.
“I’m learning, too.”
“How did it go for you?”
Gently looking away it’s like saying ‘I’m sorry’. Lilia sighed,
Most of them seemed to have some kind of plans. Lilia and Chris were the only ones who seemed to be taking it easy, or in other words, didn’t have any plans.
This is a usual thing, but for some reason I feel a little guilty about it. I was about to think about doing something during this vacation, when Tina said,
“Lilia, if you want, you can come to my inn. You’re welcome.”
At this suggestion, Lilia fell silent.
Tina’s suggestion is very tempting. I’ve been away with my family a few times, but I don’t remember much about the north. It would be nice to go there, but the distance would still be a problem.
“Is it too far?”
“Yes. It’s not like I can go alone.”
“It’s okay if you come with your family. It’s a pretty big inn, so a family is fine!”
“Tina-san. Are you forgetting that you will be staying with a duke?”
Chris was the one who interrupted her, and when Tina heard it, her mouth was half open in a dumb way.
“You’re not planning on letting the Duchess stay in an ordinary room, are you?”
Was that how much she wanted me to come? I thought about telling her that, but she seemed to be really depressed and it was hard to talk to her. As I tried to think of what to do, Sakura immediately made a suggestion.
S–Let’s go on a secret trip. I’m sure your father won’t be able to make it, but we can get your brother involved.
L–I’m sure that’s impossible. My brother hates me, you know.
S–Did he tell you that?
L–I don’t have to ask, I can tell from his attitude.
I remember the short conversation we had in the dining room before I came back here.
S–I think I’ll be okay. Why don’t you ask him?
L-Really? If Sakura says so, I’ll ask him.
Even though it was Sakura’s words, they were indeed not easy to trust. But even so, I’m willing to give it a try. If my family’s schedule permits, yes, I’ll be going on a secret trip.
Tina’s face lit up with happiness when I told her not to get her hopes up. I didn’t expect her to be that happy, and I couldn’t help looking away.
Chris had a very complicated look on his face, but eventually she sighed as if she had given up and stood up.
“I’ll leave you to it. See you soon, Liliane.”
Chris greeted everyone else and walked toward the door. Suddenly, Lilia said as if she remembered.
“Can you please not remind me?”
It seemed to have gotten through to her without saying anything about the prince. Chris turned around and smiled cheerlessly, the corner of her eyebrows lowered. Then, this time, she left the room.
Sera asked curiously. Lilia shook her head, saying that nothing was wrong.
After chatting for a while, each of them left the room to prepare for tomorrow. Alia, for example, had a long journey ahead of her, so she needed to prepare accordingly.
Lilia didn’t know what she would need on her own, since the servants would make all the preparations even if she had to go away.
The last one left was Tina. She glanced at Lilia as if she wanted to say something.
L–If you have something to say, why don’t you just say it?
S–Is it something that’s hard to say? Let’s just listen.
Lilia sighed and turned her head to Tina.
“Tina. Is there something you want to tell me?”
What? Oh, let’s see…….It’s…….”
I was starting to get angry and started tapping my finger on the table.
“You need to clarify.”
Tina nodded her head.
“You know…….If I visit Lilia’s house, I’ll be in trouble, right?”
Naturally, it would be a nuisance for Lilia, but also for her family. In the school, it is judged as one of the problems between students, so it is not considered as a problem if a senior nobleman visits the room of a commoner, or vice versa, if a commoner visits the room of a senior nobleman. However, what goes on in the minds of those who see it is a different story.
But outside the school, it’s not so easy. If something happens, it will be a problem between the houses.
“It’s not going to work, is it?”
Tina let out a small sigh. Lilia furrowed her brow.
L–She wants to come and play?
S—That’s what I think she means.
L—Why? Does she have a purpose?
S–There’s no reason to visit a friend’s house. If I had to say, I’d say she wants to get to know Lilia better. You’re so hospitable!
L–I don’t care about that. I don’t know what I’m going to do…….
Crossing her arms, Lilia pondered. Tina looked at Lilia up and down, but she didn’t notice.
