Haunted Duke’s Daughter C113
Haunted Duke’s Daughter C113
The prince’s eyes widened in surprise but he seemed to think for a moment and then opened his mouth.
“I will not ask any questions, but if there is anything I can do, you can tell me. I will help you at least a little.”
At these words, Lilia blinked at him. Looking at the prince quizzically, she said.
“Your Highness, what are you up to?”
“No, wait. What kind of person am I in your mind? Well, you know what I’m curious about you two, that’s all.”
“I see. Thank you.”
The prince shrugged his shoulders with a wry smile, still looking doubtful.
“I’ll be back,” he said, heading straight for the door. Alisa quickly opened the door, thanked him, and the prince left the room.
L–I feel like His Highness was always so kind to me. It’s disgusting.
S–I agree with you, but I wonder what happened during the vacation.
The prince would have been at the royal castle during the vacation. Perhaps something had happened there, but Lilia had no way of knowing. Besides, she’s not interested in how the prince has changed now.
“Chris is going to be glad to have one less thing to worry about, though.”
Thinking about her few friends, Lilia sipped her tea, which had already cooled down.
From the next day on, it’s business as usual. As in the previous semester, I headed to the classroom to take classes in the morning.
Many students had already gathered in the classroom. When Lilia entered the classroom, she saw many students and everyone greeted her smilingly. As she returned the greetings and took her seat, three female students gathered around her.
It is Sera, one of the cronies, who let out a happy voice. Lilia smiles at her. The other two greeted her as well.
“By the way, Liliane-sama!”
When the other two cronies turned away from Lilia, Sera quickly moved her face toward Lilia.
“I heard that you and Tina have become estranged, is that true?”
“Estranged, not so much, but…….Who told you that?”
“I don’t know where it came from, but before I knew it, it had spread last night.”
I didn’t notice it because I was in my room yesterday except for dinner. I should have talked to someone at least a little.
S–Lilia. I’m sure it’s all right, but I think you should tell them not to do anything unnecessary, especially to the two of them there.
Lilia immediately senses what Sakura is apprehensive about and says to Sera.
“Sera, don’t do anything rash. I’m sure you’ll be fine, but watch out for those two over there.”
Sera nodded her head and agreed. As the two cronies turned back to Lilia and the others, the teacher and the prince entered the classroom.
After the morning class, Lilia got a sandwich from the cafeteria and returned to her room instead of going to the library. Leaving the sandwich with Alisa, who was surprised, Lilia sat down in her chair.
L–I don’t have to go to the library, do I?
S–It will be fine tomorrow.
Lilia thinks as she eats the sandwich Alisa has put on her plate.
The harassment of Tina had ceased in the second half of the last semester, but that did not mean that Tina was accepted. Of course, it was because Lilia, who was at the center of the harassment, had joined Tina’s side, but more than that, it was because everyone was afraid of making an enemy of Lilia by making a move on Tina.
Since yesterday, word has been spreading that Lilia and Tina have become estranged. Then, harassment against Tina might happen again.
S–You two are in the middle of a fight and you’re going to help?
Sakura asked somewhat happily and Lilia nodded.
L–She is mine. I won’t allow anyone to touch what is mine.
S–I’m scared so I won’t stop you. I’d rather you just go ahead and do it.
Lilia nodded and said to the ceiling, to Cynthia.
“Cynthia, are you there?”
Of the three secret agents, Cynthia is the only one Lilia can move freely but that was enough for now.
“I’m sure everyone except Cynthia is my escort.”
“Yes, I have been asked to do so.”
“Cynthia, stay with Tina for a while. There may be some harassment against her, so keep an eye on her.”
“Is it enough if I help her?”
Lilia shook her head.
“Not yet but remember their faces and names. And if you see someone who looks like they might get hurt, protect them.”
The last thing I heard was Cynthia’s voice saying, “I’m off.”
At night Lilia is sitting on a chair in her bedroom, dozing slightly. Alisa was by her side, watching over her with a flustered look on her face. She’d like to fall asleep in bed right now, but she wanted to hear the report from Cynthia by the end of the day if possible.
S–I don’t know how you feel, but I think you should get some rest. It will affect tomorrow.
L–That may be so, but I really need to hear it.
There is no particular reason for this. It’s just that Lilia wants to do it.
‘I am sorry that Alisa has to go along with this. I would like her to be patient a little longer.’
With this in mind, I looked in Alisa’s direction and saw that she had straightened her posture and was standing erect, showing no signs of fatigue.
“Alisa, you can sit down.”
Alisa shook her head.
“I don’t mind if I stay like this. If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.”
No matter what Lilia said, Alisa probably would not move. Aware of this, Lilia smiled and nodded her head in understanding.
