The Omega Is Pregnant - Episode 82
Episode 82
“I came because I wanted to thank you for the last time.”Â
“Did I do anything to deserve such gratitude?”
Kang Se-heon recalled the last time he met Seo Da-rae. He had gone to warn her not to endanger Tae-seo again, so what was Seo Da-rae talking about now?Â
Seo Da-rae’s eyes trembled with confusion at Kang Se-heon’s attitude of having no recollection at all. Then, as if she had realized something, she slowly nodded her head.
“They say words that mean little to someone and can bring great comfort to another. I guess that was my story.”
As Seo Da-rae muttered in understanding, Kang Se-heon’s gaze scanned her face. It didn’t seem like she was lying, but what on earth did she find comforting to say such things?
“It’s okay if you don’t remember. I…Â remember.”
Seo Da-rae erased her disappointed expression and smiled.
“I was about to leave if you’re done talking…”
Kang Se-heon couldn’t concentrate on Seo Da-rae because of the ringing cell phone. His secretary was probably calling because he hadn’t come. He wondered if he should take out his cell phone or send Seo Da-rae away first.
“I’m sorry for calling you when you’re busy. I won’t hold you up for long.”
“Go ahead and say it.”
At Seo Da-rae’s words, he decided to put off the cell phone for a moment. Kang Se-heon put his hand in his pocket and turned off the vibration of his cell phone. As Kang Se-heon seemed ready to listen, Seo Da-rae couldn’t keep her hands still and fidgeted.
“I know this is sudden, but I shouldn’t hold up a busy person for long, so I’ll get straight to the point. I’ve been living really hard. And it’s not like there weren’t alphas who praised me for it.”
Seo Da-rae pressed her hands tightly as she carefully revealed her frustration. She had been able to endure well on her own, but when she collapsed because of Kang In-hyuk, she wanted someone’s comfort. Even if it stemmed from sympathy for the other person, it didn’t matter if it could give her the strength to endure now.
“Those alphas liked my face or pheromones. I struggled because I knew their praise wasn’t sincere. That’s not all. I was even hated by someone strict for seducing that alpha.”
A fleeting resentment towards someone passed over Seo Da-rae’s expression. It was so brief that it was only a moment, but it was caught in the eyes of Kang Se-heon, who had been staring at Seo Da-rae. Organizing her emotions and exhaling them all in a sigh, Seo Da-rae looked up at Kang Se-heon with a much more refreshed face.
“But you didn’t do that at all. I was so grateful for that, IÂ wanted to thank you.”
“If that’s the case, I don’t think there’s a reason for me to receive thanks.”
While wondering how they ended up having this conversation, Kang Se-heon spoke up for now.
“It’s because I wasn’t attracted to your appearance and I wasn’t interested in your pheromones. But I’m no different from other alphas. I praise and praise again to win the heart of someone I like.”
What kind of praise did he give Tae-seo a lot? Was it that he ate well, slept well, and played well on his own?
“I can’t help but praise them just for eating well.”
In Kang Se-heon’s mind, a chubby Tae-seo was already rolling around. Just thinking about it made him so cute that he couldn’t help but smile.
“Whether it’s your appearance or pheromones, you have good qualities. It’s up to you whether you like it or not, but I’m no different from those alphas.”
“Ah…”
Seo Da-rae thought Kang Se-heon would answer that it was because he was outstanding and special. She was at a loss for words, her mind going blank at Kang Se-heon’s unexpected answer.
“Before being an alpha, you’re someone who loves another, so you don’t need to take it seriously. Are you done talking?”
Listening to Kang Se-heon’s words, Seo Da-rae bowed her head deeply. He had spoken without any emotion, but her face, which heard it, was burning up as if it would explode.
She had come to him because her heart was struggling. She had hoped to be healed even a little, but she got more than that. On top of that, it ended up igniting a fire in her heart.
‘I want to be this alpha’s omega.’
Even with a single word he carelessly dropped, Kang Se-heon comforted her, and she was attracted to him.Â
‘Was this how Yoon Tae-seo felt?’
When Kang In-hyuk showed interest in her, was Yoon Tae-seo tormenting her out of deprivation that he couldn’t have him? Jealousy towards Yoon Tae-seo was slowly seeping out and gnawing at her heart. In this state, not knowing what she would say to Kang Se-heon, Seo Da-rae was about to turn around when someone caught her eye.
‘Yoon… Tae-seo?’
Seo Da-rae’s eyes quickly turned back. It wasn’t time to wonder why Yoon Tae-seo was here. This was Kang Se-heon’s company, so it was rather strange for her to be here.
Anyway, Yoon Tae-seo hadn’t noticed her and was approaching. If she could take advantage of this situation, could she make Kang Se-heon her alpha?
“Can I… smell your pheromones just once?”
“No.”
At the curt refusal cutting off her request, Seo Da-rae panicked and rolled her eyes back and forth.
“My pheromones are expensive. Some people think it’s perfume and ask me where I bought it, but I don’t have any to release for others to smell. Don’t say you’ll buy it either.”
Kang Se-heon spoke indifferently, but the meaning implied was clearly pushing her away. However, Seo Da-rae, who was rejected, felt like laughing instead. His rejection didn’t sound unpleasant.
“Then I’ll find and smell the remaining scent.”
“Is there a reason you have to do that?”
Kang Se-heon spoke as if he was unwilling.
“Just stay still.”
Hearing the answer from Kang Se-heon’s thickly stretched eyebrows, Seo Da-rae reached out her two hands to him. It was to smell the lingering scent around his neck. Since he was tall and didn’t bend his head down for her, she had no choice but to cling to him. In fact, the pheromones were just an excuse. She just wanted Yoon Tae-seo to see him being kind to her.
Just thinking about it made her want to laugh, so Seo Da-rae bit her lower lip to hold it back. And just as she was about to touch his body,
“No.”
The moment Seo Da-rae hesitated, Kang Se-heon slightly pulled his head back. Just that made him seem even taller, and Seo Da-rae couldn’t hide her surprised expression.
“It’s not that I mean anything else…”
“No, whatever the meaning.”
Seo Da-rae received a blatant rejection in Kang Se-heon’s gaze looking down at her, and she felt something welling up inside.
“I saw a video about you a while ago. There were many compliments that you are flexible when working, but I didn’t know you would be so stubborn.”
“Love is originally inflexible. I can’t let anyone other than Tae-seo touch me.”
He was rejecting her so firmly. Seo Da-rae stopped awkwardly with her arms outstretched. She had even forgotten about acting affectionate in front of Yoon Tae-seo. Now she was wondering how to back off.
“No.”
Seo Da-rae was startled by the voice that suddenly intervened, and Kang Se-heon smiled first. Seeing Tae-seo approaching while panting with excitement, Seo Da-rae slowly lowered her hand. She hadn’t actually put her hand around Kang Se-heon’s neck, but it must have felt enough to be misunderstood.
Tae-seo quickly narrowed the distance and wedged himself between Kang Se-heon and Seo Da-rae. Kang Se-heon’s eyes were filled with curiosity as he looked at Tae-seo, who had appeared suddenly. Last time when they met Jung Hae-jin, he also appeared abruptly and led the atmosphere brazenly, so he was curious how it would be today.
However, contrary to expectations, Tae-seo remained still. As if he had never been excited, he calmed his breath and said nothing. With the usually energetic Tae-seo being quiet, Kang Se-heon’s expression gradually changed.
“Why aren’t you saying anything? Are you feeling unwell?”
Kang Se-heon grabbed Tae-seo’s shoulder to face him. And the moment their eyes met, Kang Se-heon’s face also hardened at Tae-seo’s serious expression.
On the other hand, Tae-seo, who had intervened, tried to calm his boiling insides. For now, he had separated them, but he couldn’t think of what to do next. He thought about just going with his personality, but this was where Kang Se-heon worked, and he couldn’t think of anything to say brazenly.
‘Of all people, Seo Da-rae.’
He had hoped their past connection would end right there. Kang In-hyuk confessed his love for him, and Seo Da-rae reached out to Kang Se-heon. He couldn’t understand why it got so entangled, and he had a bad feeling. Because of that, his mood was endlessly sinking.
But then, his body was suddenly lifted into the air. Tae-seo, who had opened his eyes wide, realized that Kang Se-heon had picked him up and instinctively flailed his legs.
“Let’s go to the hospital first.”
“What? No, why the hospital…”
“If you’re even a little sick, you have to go to the hospital right away.”
As Kang Se-heon turned around, Tae-seo’s eyes met Seo Da-rae’s, who was as surprised as he was. They were both so startled that they couldn’t open their mouths.
“Cancel all schedules.”
In the meantime, Kang Se-heon instructed his secretary, who had come down to find him, to adjust the schedule, and then took Tae-seo down to the underground parking lot. As they got into the waiting car, the focus returned to Tae-seo’s eyes, which had been blank until then.
“I’m not sick.”
“I know.”
“Then why did you say let’s go to the hospital…”
“I felt like I should.”
Kang Se-heon wiped Tae-seo’s face. Although he had a surprised expression, he wasn’t sweating and his skin wasn’t cold. Only after directly feeling with his hand did Kang Se-heon confirm that Tae-seo was okay and asked,
“Now tell me. Why are you like this?”
“Because you smiled at Seo Da-rae.”
