One day in the 22nd century, Earth underwent a massive transformation for unknown reasons, turning into a battleground in a game. Every city was partitioned into independent game arenas, each with its unique setting. For instance, the Bio-crisis Arena featured biohumans and monstrous bio-entities, the Insect Tide Arena was infested with various gigantic insect monsters, and the Demon World Arena was teeming with a multitude of demons.

Li Xi, a university student, suddenly faced this world-altering event and embarked on a path to become stronger, driven by the principle of survival.

However, she couldn’t help but wonder why there was always a cold, mysterious woman standing there, trying to lure her back onto a different path. To avoid being led astray by this enigmatic woman, she had to keep her distance, but she was repeatedly caught despite her efforts.

Li Xi had been diligently hunting monsters, gaining experience, and acquiring equipment in this unique post-apocalyptic world. One day, she saw the cold woman obtain the equipment she had always wanted. Driven by greed, she stole the woman’s belongings and managed to escape. Strangely, from that moment on, she would always encounter the cold woman, who would not only give her equipment but also offer quest scrolls and unique items. Li Xi began to find this woman very peculiar.

Later on, she noticed that the cold woman’s gaze seemed rather unsettling. Out of concern for her safety, she decided to escape. However, no matter how many times she tried to get away, the woman always managed to catch up and follow her, making it impossible to shake her off.

Eventually, Li Xi found herself cornered, and the woman before her remained as cold as ever, though she seemed somewhat frustrated and at the end of her patience.

“Little wildcat, how long do you intend to keep running? Am I that frightening?”

“Who’s running! I haven’t run at all! I’m not afraid of you!” Li Xi defiantly replied.

“If that’s the case, then come with me,” the woman said with a sly smile as she seized Li Xi’s collar and decided to take her home.

Mysterious Woman: No, I can’t.

Later stages: Li Xi: Where are you going?

Mysterious Woman: I’m going on a quest.

Li Xi: Take me with you! Don’t leave me behind.
