The Hope You Gave Me - 8. Villa hotel (Part 1)

Min Hui felt that no matter what, she could never marry Xin Qi. She was only temporarily playing Su Tian’s role, because it was her last resort. Of course, if repaying Su Tian meant having to marry Xin Qi, then there was nothing wrong with that. After all, she sacrificed her life for her(Min Hui). Doing something for her was to fulfill her last wish. At least Min Hui could comfort her heart saying she repaid her kindness.

But the problem was: the basis of all marriages is true love. And the feelings Min Hui was showing were all fake. She was afraid that the fake play will become real, and even more afraid that after the truth comes out, Xin Qi couldn’t acknowledge it nor would he forgive her good intentions.

There was another possibility, although it was very slim, but still existed: what if Su Tian was still alive? And came back for him? Seeing the person she gave up her life to save is now enjoying her life with her childhood sweetheart, would she (Min Hui) not be a sinner of the ages?

It would take a little time, I know. Take your time, there’s no rush.” He smiled and took her hand in his own and shook it, “I’m sorry, I was too impatient and only thought of my own feelings.”

She looked at him in a daze, not knowing what to do.

“Where do you live? Is it far from here?”

“Not far, it’s at a B&B nearby. It’s a five-minute walk down the road from there.”

In addition to being a scenic area, Wildflower Lake is also a famous summer resort. There are many hotels and villas on the mountain, and the villagers nearby make a living by operating B&Bs at affordable prices, including three meals a day, which is refreshing and clean.

“Do you think this is okay? Move to my hotel, the hotel has a special car at the garage arranged for the residence. Tomorrow, we will leave together from the hotel to Suihua to find your brother, okay?” Xin Qi asked.

“You don’t have to bother, I’ve already paid for the accommodation,” Min Hui said, “I’ll take a cab to the train station, it’s convenient. Let’s meet at the station.”

Xin Qi was stunned for a moment and looked at her silently with a look of resignation. After a few seconds of silence, he suddenly asked, “Tian Tian, did I do something wrong?”

Right at this moment, Min Hui regretted everything she did up till now. She hated herself for being too curious, she shouldn’t have come here to see Xin Qi at all. If Xin Qi continued to be rejected by ‘Su Tian’, he would eventually have to do nothing but stop. It was a good thing to go back to New York alone afterwards for surgery and continue her life.

At least ‘Su Tian’ would still be alive and well in his heart, and become a fond memory that disappears into the sea of people.

But the look on his face was heartbreaking, and Min Hui really couldn’t harden her heart, so she had to say, “Okay, let’s go to your hotel.”

“Yay!” He cheered like a little kid.

Xin Qi accompanied Min Hui to the B&B and picked up her luggage, which was not much, just a trolley case. Then the two of them walked across the Yongan Bridge again to the Wildflower Lake Garden Hotel where they were staying. On the way, Xin Qi became cautious about her attitude and did not dare to talk much for fear of offending her. Min Hui’s heart felt sorry for him, but she also thought that it was better to keep a certain distance between the two. It would be easier for her to leave his life after all the fiasco.

Despite this and that disagreement, Xin Qi’s mood was still high, even his footsteps were light, he seemed so happy as if he wanted to dance in the place.

Min Hui looked at him and sighed heavily in her heart, alas, this man is stupid.

Xin Qi booked the honeymoon suite, which is actually a hilltop villa. A giant crystal lamp was hung above the spacious living room, consisting of countless crystal carved leaves, one layer of transparent, one layer of frosted, and one layer of gold pattern. The light was reflected in the different leaf textures, the whole space seemed like a fairytale, full of contrasts and colours.

There was a table in the middle, which was filled with roses: red, yellow, white, purple ……

Min Hui couldn’t help but stop, she felt the fragrance of the flowers were like a wall in front of her.

She was a little afraid to breathe, because it was the fragrance that belonged to Su Tian.

It seems that Xin Qi had long arranged everything: meeting, marriage, honeymoon, travel ……

And Su Tian missed all of them in order to save her.

As Min Hui thought about it, her eyes got red again.

At this moment, Xin Qi suddenly said mysteriously, “Follow me, there is something you will like here.” He took her hand and pushed open a door. Outside the door, there was an open-air spa tub.

Min Hui wanted to cry, thinking: I’m finished. Isn’t this the rhythm of taking a bubble bath together?

He pulled her around the spa tub and to a small private pool that suddenly appeared in front of them.

“Ta-Dah! Your favorite pool!” Xin Qi made an exaggerated pose of offering.

Before Min Hui could react, he took her hand and jumped into the water together.

Min Hui, who couldn’t swim, screamed in fear and instinctively hugged Xin Qi, wrapping her arms around his neck in a death grip.

This person really lived in a foreign country, to do things out of the ordinary, shocking her to the core ……

“What’s wrong, you forgot to swim?” Seeing that she was afraid, Xin Qi laughed, “The water is not deep, you can stand.”

Min Hui doubtfully jumped off his body and straightened her legs to step on the bottom of the pool. Her heart secretly screamed but she hid her shame and said, “the water is cold. I just ate ice cream, my stomach hurts when I stay in the cold water.”

“Sorry, it’s my fault, I just like to prank too much.” He rushed to shore, then pulled her out of the water with one hand…
