Episode 64
An uncomfortable silence flowed between them as Seo Da-rae turned away from Kang In-hyuk.
“If you keep talking about Yoon Tae-seo, I’m going home.”
Seo Da-rae completely shut him down, as if she had no room to listen to stories about Yoon Tae-seo.Â
“As you can see, I’m not feeling well right now.”
The flushed cheeks under Seo Da-rae’s downcast eyes showed no sign of subsiding. That meant the languid energy was still lingering. On top of that, Kang In-hyuk’s pheromones permeating the house were stimulating Seo Da-rae’s pheromones as her heat cycle had just ended.Â
She felt like she would give in to those pheromones and end up spilling everything she had done. They were sweet but dangerous pheromones to embrace. So Seo Da-rae avoided Kang In-hyuk’s gaze, licking her dry lips several times.
Seo Da-rae approached the front door and pressed down on the handle. The moment the door lock sounded and the door was unlocked, Seo Da-rae secretly let out a sigh. If she could just go out like this and be alone for a while…
The sound of the door closing again rang out briskly. Seo Da-rae lowered her eyes and looked at her hand. Kang In-hyuk, who had approached at some point, had grabbed Seo Da-rae’s hand and closed the door.
“Then let me ask just one thing.”
Seo Da-rae looked at her hand covered by Kang In-hyuk’s large hand. She still had some heat left, so his hand felt cool against hers. Just a moment ago, she wanted to avoid Kang In-hyuk, but with just one touch of his hand, her heart quickly wavered. If only he wouldn’t say anything else, she wanted to be with him. She wanted to lean on him and rest.
If only that were possible…
“It has nothing to do with you?”
Seo Da-rae’s face, which had relaxed at Kang In-hyuk’s pressure demanding the truth, hardened again.
“No.”
Seo Da-rae pushed Kang In-hyuk’s hand away with a decisive motion and went outside. The remnants of Seo Da-rae’s pheromones left in the entryway added to Kang In-hyuk’s uneasiness. Â
“Sigh.”Â
Kang In-hyuk sighed heavily, covering his forehead with his hand. The heavy head from not being able to sleep properly these days was dulling his reason.Â
“Da-rae.”
Kang In-hyuk called out to Seo Da-rae, who was no longer there.
“Tae-seo is pregnant.”
I don’t know where to start untangling these complicated feelings. And if it’s related to Da-rae, I don’t know how to solve it either.

While Tae-seo kept his mouth shut, Han-soo Park touched his forehead, scratched his nose lightly, placed his hand on his waist, and moved about restlessly. He had come because Tae-seo collapsed, but he was only filled with worries after being asked strange questions.
“Does that have anything to do with why you’re here?”
He became an omega and something happened to him.Â
The more complicated Han-soo’s mind became, the clearer Tae-seo’s head became instead. He had been just thinking about it all this time, but just by talking to Han-soo, things became somewhat organized.
As Tae-seo rested his chin and only rolled his eyes to the side, Han-soo scratched his head.
“Is the one who made you collapse someone I know?”
“I don’t know yet. Nothing is certain.”
“That means there’s someone you suspect.”
As Tae-seo closed his mouth, Han-soo clicked his tongue. Han-soo felt Tae-seo’s forehead and then tapped his shoulders. On top of that, he kept touching him here and there, so Tae-seo pushed his hand away with an annoyed motion.
“What are you doing.”
“I thought something was stuck on you, so I was trying to get it off.”
“You’re doing useless things.”
Even though Tae-seo retorted irritably, Han-soo also had a lot to say. It was because he had seen a lot by Tae-seo’s side.
“Why can’t you ever have a quiet day?”
“Han-soo.”
“What.”
“I want to live quietly too.”
Tae-seo was saying he was innocent. Of course, it wasn’t entirely someone else’s fault that he was living so noisily. It was all that Yoon Tae-seo had done, and only the aftermath was coming back to him.
“I won’t do bad things anymore. I’ve gotten over my feelings for Kang In-hyuk and even apologized.”
That was also the reason he became a villain. Now that the cause was gone, there was no need to commit evil deeds for another reason.
“So you just watch me closely from the side.”
Han-soo was fully capable of doing that. Because Han-soo was the only one who stayed by Yoon Tae-seo’s side until the end. But Han-soo folded his arms, seemingly taking Tae-seo’s words differently.
“You want me to stop you if you do something wrong?”
“The opposite. Watch me closely so nothing happens to me. So I don’t collapse again.”
“I have my own life too, and you want me to only watch you?”
When Tae-seo looked at him as if it were obvious, Han-soo let out a short breath as if dumbfounded.Â
“You care about me a lot, so what’s so hard about that.”
“…Is that so?”
“Or do you want to go home? Get out right now. But from now on, don’t pay any attention to my business at all.”
As Tae-seo wriggled his butt as if he would kick him out at any moment, Han-soo waved his hands.
“No. It’s not hard to watch you. I’m very interested in you.”
“Yeah, I know that too.”
That interest was because it was fun to watch him, but it didn’t matter what it was. As Tae-seo half-leaned against the bed, Han-soo lightly scratched the tip of his nose and sat back down.
“I feel weird. Like I was beaten by Yoon Tae-seo.”
“If you’re going to leave, get up again. Someone is coming soon.”
“Someone coming? Who?”
Han-soo, who wasn’t going to get up right away as expected, looked at the door. After briefly anticipating who might visit Tae-seo’s hospital room, the door to the hospital room opened and someone entered.
“By the way, don’t go around talking about what we just talked about to anyone else.”
“Huh? What? What did you say?”
Before Han-soo could react, Tae-seo’s head turned.
“Hyung, you’re here?”
As Tae-seo waved his hand, Se-heon Kang answered with a smile and entered, then discovered Han-soo. Han-soo got up from his seat and immediately bowed to greet him.
“Hello. I’m Park Han-soo. I didn’t get a chance to greet you last time, but now I’m finally introducing myself. I’m Tae-seo’s friend.”
“You’ve met Se-heon hyung before?”
Before Se-heon could respond to Han-soo’s greeting, Tae-seo interjected. He asked, wondering if the two had some kind of connection, and Han-soo readily told him when.
“We saw each other last time. When you and he were sitting side by side.”
“You mean on that bench in front of the science building?”
“Yeah.”
Tae-seo threw it out there just in case, and Han-soo nodded as if he got it right away.
“Why don’t I remember you?”
“I waved at you because you were there, but you didn’t even look at me and only he looked at me.”
“I see. But you’re acting like you know him from briefly making eye contact then?”
“Of course. People say it’s a connection even if your shoulders barely touch, but I’m like, huh? We made eye contact like this.”
Han-soo tapped his shoulders, then bent two fingers as if poking his eyes. Tae-seo pushed that hand away, and Han-soo, whose eyes were poked by his own fingers, writhed in agony, shaking his head from side to side.
“Yoon Tae-seo, what are you doing.”
“I thought you were telling me to poke your eyes.”
While Tae-seo retorted brazenly, Han-soo lowered the hand covering his eyes and tried to open his eyes somehow. Se-heon, who was watching the two play around, went next to Tae-seo.
“It’s the first time seeing a friend of yours.”
Until now, Tae-seo had never introduced anyone to Se-heon. Putting aside Kang In-hyuk, since they both knew each other, Tae-seo had never mentioned a friend first. When Se-heon spoke while making eye contact with Han-soo, Tae-seo sighed.
“He’s my one and only friend.”
Unfortunately, at Tae-seo’s bitter remark, Han-soo’s expression changed oddly. He was happy to hear he was his one and only friend, but when Tae-seo said unfortunately, his smiling face crumbled.
“I think I just heard you say, unfortunately?”
“Yeah, you heard it right.”
“Isn’t it too honest when you should be making up for misunderstandings?”
Tae-seo glanced at Han-soo with a what-can-you-do look, then tapped the seat next to him for Se-heon. Then Han-soo looked at the chair he was sitting on and looked around. The only chair next to the bed was the one Han-soo was sitting on, and the sofa for guests was quite far from the bed.
“This seems to be the seat where hyung-nim should sit….”
Han-soo awkwardly got up. He just sat down because the chair was empty, but from the look of it, it had an owner.
“Hyung-nim, please sit. I’ll go sit on that sofa over there.”
As Han-soo stepped aside, Se-heon patted his shoulder.
“Keep sitting.”
Se-heon passed by as if he had no intention of sitting in the chair, and Tae-seo pulled the blanket down to make space for him.
“Hyung doesn’t sit there much.”
At the same time as Tae-seo gestured for Han-soo, who was still standing, to sit down, Se-heon sat down on the bed. Seeing him casually putting his butt on the bed, it seemed Tae-seo’s words were true.
Han-soo sat back down on the chair he had offered and looked at Se-heon.
“Since you brushed my shoulder too, we’re on day 1 starting today.”
Han-soo touched the shoulder Se-heon had tapped earlier and raised his index finger. On top of that, he even winked, making Se-heon stare at Han-soo and then look back at Tae-seo.
“I know what you’re thinking right now, but we’re not birds of a feather.”
Se-heon closed his mouth at Tae-seo’s words as he shook his head. Seeing Han-soo’s brazenness no less than the sly Tae-seo, he thought they were indeed friends.
“I’m friends with him because I have no choice, not because we’re the same.”
“Yoon Tae-seo, you have no filter even in front of people.”
“You’re in no position to say that when you’re counting day 1 from today.”
Tae-seo clicked his tongue as if seeing through all of Han-soo’s intentions. The guy who wanted to become acquainted with Se-heon was different from himself.
“Don’t ask hyung for his number.”
“How stingy….”
Han-soo, who was already halfway through taking out his cell phone from his pocket, grumbled and put it back in.
Tae-seo, seeing that Han-soo had quieted down, turned to Se-heon.
“Hyung, you’re late.”
“I was late because I was buying this.”
Se-heon put down the paper bag he was holding in one hand. Before even taking out what was inside, Tae-seo glanced inside and put his hand in, beaming. Tae-seo took out the box and opened the lid with anticipation. Seeing the neatly arranged donuts, Tae-seo turned his head toward Se-heon.
“I thought you wouldn’t be able to buy them, but you really bought them. The line here is really long….”
“Don’t think about that and just tell me. I’ll buy you as many as you want.”
“That’s reassuring.”
Tae-seo tried to grab a donut with his bare hands, but Se-heon grabbed his hand.
“Wait a minute.”
As Tae-seo looked at him, wondering why, Se-heon took the box from him. Then Se-heon set the box up in front of him so it was clearly visible.
“It would be nice to have it cut into bite-sized pieces, but I don’t think you’ll wait for that….”
He took a donut out of the box and brought it to Tae-seo’s mouth. The donut touched Tae-seo’s lower lip. As the sweet scent wafted, Se-heon muttered softly.
“I don’t like getting powder on my hands, but it bothers me too.”
